This policy explains what personal information Loki Finds Things collects when you use this website, buy from us or get in touch, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Loki Finds Things is responsible for your personal information. You can contact us about anything in this policy at lokifindsthings@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • When you order: your name, email address, delivery address and what you bought. We use this to process, post and support your order, which is necessary to fulfil our contract with you. Payment is handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.
  • When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message. We use this only to reply to you, based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • When you ask to be told when the kit launches or is back in stock: your email address. We use it once, to tell you it's available, and then delete it. This is based on your consent, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
  • When you leave a review: if you send us a review and agree to us publishing it, we show your review, first name and town on the product page. Ask us at any time and we'll take it down.
  • When you visit the site: like all websites, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Metricool to count visits and see which pages are popular. Metricool uses your IP address to work out which country you're visiting from, but doesn't store it. Neither service uses cookies or stores anything on your device, and neither tracks you across other websites. We don't use any advertising trackers.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the services we use to run the shop and website:

  • Stripe processes payments and order details.
  • Royal Mail or DPD receive your name and delivery address to deliver your order.
  • Formspree delivers contact form messages and launch or restock alert requests to our inbox.
  • Google provides our email (Gmail), the fonts on this site and some video thumbnails from YouTube. Loading these means your browser connects to Google's servers.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and provides visitor statistics.
  • Metricool provides visitor statistics.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for 6 years, as required for UK tax purposes. We keep contact form messages for up to 12 months after our conversation ends, unless they relate to an order. Launch and restock alert emails are deleted once we've told you the kit is available.

Cookies

This website doesn't set its own cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies, and Stripe uses cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. To do any of these, email lokifindsthings@gmail.com. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
